It was beat into my brain by my dad and our driving instructor to always use your blinkers! I have a habit of using it when I'm leaving my driveway in the morning

I’m at the point where I don’t regard a turn signal as a definitive indication to turn. Just that the bulb isn’t burnt.

If I'm turning into a turn lane at full speed, there is no reason to use a turn signal, as it would be no different to the cars behind me if I'm going that speed ahead of them in the same lane or in the lane I'm going into.
If there are cars behind me and I'm slowing down so the turn signal will help them be aware, I use it. Otherwise, probably not, not when it won't benefit anyone by using it.
