Actress Angie Harmon is suing both Instacart and the delivery driver she said shot and killed her dog in March.
According to PEOPLE, court documents show that Harmon is suing the delivery service and driver — identified in the suit as Christopher Anthoney Reid — for alleged trespassing, conversion, negligence, negligent supervision/hiring, invasion of privacy and negligent misrepresentation.

The “Law and Order” actress posted about the incident on social media after it took place saying in part, “This Easter weekend, a man delivering groceries for Instacart shot & killed our precious Oliver. He got out of his car, delivered the food & THEN shot our dog.”
PEOPLE reported that it happened at her home in Charlotte, North Carolina, on March 30.
“The driver told officers that a dog attacked him while he was at the residence and that he defended himself by firing a single gunshot, striking and mortally wounding the dog,” police said at the time. But, Harmon rebutted the driver’s self-defense claim.
“He did not have a scratch or bite on him nor were his pants torn,” she wrote on social media. “He shot our dog with my daughters & myself at home & just kept saying, ‘Yeah, I shot your dog. Yeah I did.’”

Instacart responded in a statement to PEOPLE.
“We were deeply saddened and disturbed to hear about this incident. We have no tolerance for violence of any kind, and the shopper account was immediately suspended from our platform. We have been in direct contact with the customer and are cooperating with law enforcement on their investigation.”

Guilty, on no other account than the unnecessary "e".

Lots of dog murder by random baws and bawettes these days.
Why the urge for dogicide?
Are we not men? I beseech thee, stop this anti-canine savagery.
Oliver was a good boy. Sleep now, boy. No more fetch. Slumber with the running rabbits and squirrels of the afterlife

Gonna invite a stranger over then sue for trespassing?

Breed of dog needed to determine level of guilt.

They're gonna have to start leaving the ice cream and rotisserie chicken in the mailbox from now on.

Today I learned I live near Angie Harmon.

I used to supervise large groups of delivery drivers and some of them go just fricking nuts when they see a dog (especially people of a particular background ). Can’t tell you the number of times I’d send out a second driver because the first listed it as unsafe and they’d report that the dog was friendly, or the times when I’d have to go out and it was something like a golden retriever who was just happy to see someone.
I think some people just don’t know how to act around dogs. I have yet to meet one that I actually was afraid of.

If she was at home, why didn't she control the dog?
I'm sure she has a fancy Ring or Blink camera setup. Should be easy to prove.

Perhaps it was not a dog that had ever required controlling. There is no evidence h even got near the fraud delivery driver. It was a 43 pound dog. My labs will lie on the floor and be indifferent to workers IN my house.

I know it isn't the late 80s/early 90s anymore, but how far has Kid 'n Play fallen when Kid has to drive for Instacart to make a living?!?

So you order food, so you know somebody will come to your house. You then let your dog attack the person who is knowingly coming to your house. You then kill the person who shot your dog that was attacking them
People are pets are getting weirder by the day

So I guess she’ll star as herself in the Lifetime movie adaptation.

If you read the article, the guy that showed up was using another person's account, possibly his father's.

She thought it was one person, a different person showed up.

No evidence of any attack by the dog.

If a person who did not look like the delivery person you had been interacting with showed up at your house and shot your dog, you would probably have some self defense argument.

My neighbor was having a movie filmed at his antebellum house (about 5 acres in town). His dog was coming out and barking/growling at the movie's security guard. He called the local cops and the cop shot the dog.
Neighbor was laid back about it. Dog was on his own property doing what a dog was supposed to do.
ETA: I wasn't siding with my neighbor's response. I'd have kicked the production company off my property with an hour of the shooting. The guard was clearly scared of dogs and was a pussy about dogs. This dog was some mutt with zero badassery.
