3 team trade:

Hawks:

Brandon Ingram
Larry Nance

Cavs:

Onyeka Okongowu
EJ Lidell

Pels:

Trae Young
Jarrett Allen

Throw in whatever picks needed to make it work.

If the cap threshold is around 170mil we would be adding an additional 13mil to our current 150mil for 2024-2025.

So we should still be 5-10mil under the cap. Not including exemptions.

Roster:

Trae/ Jose/
Herb/ CJ/ Hawkins
Trey/ Dyson/ Ryan
Zion/ / JRE
Allen/

Just need

(1) Vet backup PF
(1) Vet backup C
(1) Rookie C
(1) rookie/ vet PG
If Allen does not work for the Cavs,. why would OO? Even with Picks, hard to make this a fair trade.

I think they’re trying to trade both. I believe it was stated somewhere that Hawks are going the rebuild route. I mean both stars are on the trade block probably asking for picks- I think thats a full rebuild.

Hopefully not. The Spurs have their 25, 26 (swap), and 27 picks. It’s already going to be bad enough dealing with OKC for the next few years, let alone SA if they are collecting top picks

Yeah. They can't flat out tank and rebuild. The Murray trade fricked them.

They just refused to take the haircut on dealing Murray they needed to, likely from a sunk cost fallacy. They think Trae can get more capital back.

Atlanta could trade Murray back to Spurs for their two picks back, SA would take that

I imagine SA would only deal back 1 of them

Murray has depreciated as an asset

Like someone said about Trae coming here...if he's not awesome, his value will be absolute shite.

But what if he is awesome and is motivated to play better and prove his worth.

Look no one wanted kyrie but he has revamped his image in Dallas. Im not saying Trae is Kyrie- Kyrie is a better player. But from a situation standpoint its similar- Trae is available and his value is down- theres an opportunity to get a star motivated to be his best.

That might be the best thing for them to do, but from a purely optics standpoint, there’s no way they do.

Now Trae to SA for all their picks back may be more doable. I could easily see the Spurs talking themselves into the Trae/Wemby fit and all the buzz that would generate for them

Does Trae seem like the kind of player Pop would put up with?

I’ve read SA is interested in Trae not Murray. That should tell you something since they know who he is.

I read they were interested in Murray too. So I don’t honestly know what they’ll do. Also heard they were high on Topic in the draft.

Wrong. It’s an offensive league, he’s a gifted offensive player. There will always have some value in that around the league.

Look at Kyrie s crazy arse and how many teams he bounced around on.

Spurs only have two more Atlanta picks and one swap, and Trae is far more valuable than that.

Even if Spurs only want to trade back the 2025 1st and 26 swap for Murray, that’s good for Atlanta, it gives them two seasons to bottom out.

If Atlanta wants more top picks in this draft that could be doable also by Pels sending Ingram to Houston or Detroit and those teams sending pick/s back to Atlanta

Speaking of which, that failed Kyrie-Harden-Durant experiment just cost them the third overall pick.

Can’t wait until the next owner of the Nets does the same stupid shite as the last two.

At the deadline it was rumored they were making offers for Murray. The only thing Ive heard about Trae is Wemby would be open to playing with him.

What I saw I believe was in response to those Wemby rumors and supposedly the Spurs would be okay with Murray coming back but weren't really interested in Trae.

I'm sure it's all posturing or noise this early in the process.

You don't think

Jarrett Allen

For

OO
EJ
2 1st
1 swap

Is enticing for them? I think that's a pretty decent haul. OO is the exact player we missing to add with picks to get Allen. Because all we can offer is Nance.
