If Clemson doesn't win the ACC this year, the hotseat has to be firmly scorching

He did great in the past for them, but he has absolutely refused to adapt to the current situation at all

The new Les miles. He only has more titles because of being in the ACC

He is primed to be the best example of it, maybe ever.

Multiple championship game coach that took that program from mediocrity to the highest of the highs and isn't even old.

And refused point blank to adjust to a seismic shift in the sport.

He will get fired if it doesn't work out

I kind of admire how all in he is on his schtick. God’s NIL and high school transfers are all you need.

He won't get fired, he's done too much for that school. He'll retire instead and just say it's not fun with the transfer portal and NIL.

I can’t stand Dabo. But if it’s not LSU I’m pulling for him to win a title doing things his way. frick the NIL/portal era.

He's not going anywhere. Clemson was a below average P5 school before he got there.

Him and Kirby are the only 2 people in CFB with multiple NC's.

It's not a Les/Coach O situation either, he can coach.

Clemson is on a Virginia Tech post Beamer trajectory right now.

It doesn't matter if he can coach or not.

The sport has changed and is changing into an almost unrecognizable sport. And its only going to get worse and more extreme.

He is flatly refusing to adjust with it. I admire it to a certain degree because I hate this era, but reality is reality.

If it doesn't work out, he SHOULD be fired, and he will be.

Somewhat agree. Dabo did win 2 titles by beating Bama though, while Les couldn’t beat them 5 years in a row.

Looking forward to seeing them play UGA week 1

Y’all are funny if you think Dabo doesn’t control his future. And all this “he isn’t adapting” is funny. Maybe he looked at portal guys and saw none he cared to have.

Dabo’s current problem is the same many teams have had over the years - the QB position hasn’t panned out. DJ and now Klubnik haven’t lived up to their billing. That’s it. When he gets a QB who plays to a high level then magically he’ll be a good coach again.

He isn’t. By his own words.

You’re telling me there isn’t a single position that wasn’t at least lacking depth coming out of the spring? Come on.

If your program being successful is contingent on having a top 5 pick at QB you don’t have a great program.

Even with a plus level QB, the roster is nowhere close to where it was at its peak. You had close to a Bama/UGA level depth chart playing mediocre ACC competition. The talent difference now is nowhere near where it was.

Clemson when they were elite had nfl talent at almost every position group, now they’re barely putting guys in the league at all.

Good for him though. Nothing left to prove. If it doesn’t work out frick it. You’ve earned countless wealth and brought Clemson multiple national championships. Love that he’s doing it on his terms and letting the chips fall where they may.

Nope, not a single Clemson-worthy player out of those 3,200 names in the portal.
