Complaining about a basketball coaches rotations.

Go to any social media page/subreddit/twitter etc etc for any nba team, regardless of if it’s the pistons or the celtics or the nuggets etc) and you’ll have a significant contingent bitching about rotations lol.

Not that it isn’t warranted in some respects, but seems like it’s just a “thing” to say Coach X’s rotations are terrible.

That's because that's about the only thing that's left for them to pretend an NBA head coach does anything. I am of the opinion that an NBA's head coaches job these days is just to be a scapegoat when things don't go as desired.

Hate when it’s misused. It only applies when the higher seeded team wins the first three game, “lets” the opponent win game 4 on its home court, and then closes it out in 5.

The whole idea is they are the far superior team but throw the opponent a bone. You can’t lose game 1 and then gentlemen sweep someone.

Is that why Bucks hired Doc Rivers?

How many "generational talents" are we going to have in this generation?

I swear that I never heard "ball screen" until about three years ago. It was always just a screen. I blame Jay Bilas and Seth Greenberg for this.

"High points" the ball. Herbie loves saying this.

It applies anytime the winning team loses one game but dominated the series… doesn’t necessarily have to be game 4 either

Like the Pistons-Lakers 2004 finals… that was a GSweep

Because that's a backdoor sweep

No, it's when you go up 3-0 and have a chance to win game 4 to sweep but don't and you win game 5 instead.

Lose game 1 and win the next 4 it's a backdoor sweep. Win games 1-3, lose game 4, win game 5 it's a gentleman's sweep. If you lose games 2 or 3 and win in 5, then you just won in 5.

Pretty much every phrase football nerds use. If Bill Barnwell has said it, it sucks.
