Explain to me why the wnba needs to expand

So those 23 players have an available roster spot
Also more players = increased likelihood of their being some hot ones I actually want to look at

Because if they had more teams they could have more roster spots for the best college players to make a final roster.
You are making the opposite point of the one you are trying to make. If there were only 8 NFL teams a lot of rookies that end up being great players would've been cut after the draft as well.

You’re assuming there’s enough talent to fill the rosters now and it doesn’t seem like there is.

That’s certainly a take

Look at a guy like Jalen Brunson. Wouldve been cut if the league had less teams as a rookie. Was drafted 33rd overall. Now he's one of the best players in the league because he was able to stay on a team and develop

At least 23 people were spared the horror of flying commercial

Right now college WBB is putting out more talent than the league is prepared to accept.
The league itself already has more teams and roster spots than fans are willing to accept.
So we have this situation where players who are good enough to play in the league are cut because the league itself shouldn't exist in the first place.

Cute, now tell us who’s gonna pay their salaries and all the other financial shite that comes with making new teams?
This ain’t madden brah. Everything costs money, and the wnba isn’t making any

this shouldn’t be a hard connection to make
there are currently more women basketball players than roster spots. it’s not like there are empty rosters and these players just sucked

Again… who’s gonna pay for this shite?

I mean you just answered the question in your own post.

There's not enough roster spots for every player getting drafted. Unless said player is ready to play and contribute on day 1, she is getting cut. That is not the case for other sport leagues.

They should star with a developmental league but alas… that takes money they need to be gifted

If the talent was that good wouldnt they be on rosters?

pio, let the wnba exist in peace. it isn’t hurting anyone.

What do you mean again?
I’m responding to the OP who didn’t say anything about paying for it.
The argument against expansion is financial, not that 2/3 of draft picks don’t make a roster.

Investors. If they feel like it is a growing product worth investing in, or like the NBA they think the good publicity is worth it.
People invest in a lot of things that don't make money, just look at how much Twitter sold for
