Wow you are a moron. You picked out the part where I said it makes sense in the news. Aka it is political theater. In the very next line I said it is impossible and will never happen.

Never once did I say I agree with taxing unrealized gains.

What's funny is that you used property though, because we absolutely tax people on their unsold property if value goes up.

So makes me wonder if this is sarcasm

It also affects inheriting property. Heirs would have to pay property tax or sell. I wonder if you add your heir as a co-owner in the title once paid vs a will or trust, would this bypass those inheritance taxes.
