then I think they have to win the SEC tournament to have an outside chance.

An outside chance? You realize they have a 100% chance of making the NCAAT if they win the SECT right?

quote:

LSU finished the 2011 season with an RPI of 28.

I know you just googled “2011 college baseball RPI” but that’s end of season, as in after the college World Series. On selection Sunday, their RPI was 22. You can look right next to the 28 to see the previous ranking. I believe 22 is still the highest ranked RPI team not to get a bid. The SEC literally added 2 more teams to the SECT because of that snub (the committee said LSU was left out because they didn't qualify for the 8 team SECT)

quote:

They were two years from a National Championship, yet they were left out. And they were 13-17 in the SEC.

the 2021 team was 13-17 in the SEC and 12 years removed from a national title and weren't left out. They also went 0-1 in the SECT. 2019 Florida, same story, 13-17, 0-1 in the SECT, got a bid.

That's exactly what I did. Am I supposed to be embarrassed about that? Should I have had it memorized?

The fact that they were 22 when left out makes the point even more emphatically. Nothing is certain. The committee might put Auburn in. but I doubt it. There is a chance LSU gets in with a 2-1 series win over Ole Miss. Maybe the committee puts a ton of emphases on LSU's second half SEC season. But I doubt it. Sweep and we have a solid chance (50/50?) especially if we do damage in the SEC tournament.

Yeah yeah yeah. LSU was left out with a 23 RPI before dude. Losing conf record and not making the SEC tournament ended that shite season. Ask CPM about how shitty that was.

Kendall already laid it out for you clowns. Win 2 again OM they need 1 or 2 in the SEC tourney. Sweep them and we are in

sure, but here is what he said last year right before selections were made

61. Southern California
62. UC Irvine
63. NC State
64. Oklahoma
—–CUTOFF—–
65. Louisiana
66. Arizona
67. Kansas State
68. Notre Dame

Neither Irvine nor USC got in. ULL and Arizona did.

Were going to be in the last 4 in/first 4 out territory at best, so I think that would be most relevant re his predictions.

So to say "Kendall already laid it out for you clowns. Win 2 again OM they need 1 or 2 in the SEC tourney. Sweep them and we are in" should end the discussion isn't really accurate. That's just what he thinks.

This team has no business going to the post season

So anonymous posters on a message board are determining who should and shouldn't be in the regionals? Great! I vote for the Tigers to be in a regional....and hosting!

Thank you so, so much for explaining the "Message Board Voting System" being used by the committee this season.

Personally I believe there is definitely conference fatigue when it comes to selection. I think they take a 3rd/4th place team from the pac 12 or a 2nd place big 10 team before they take an 11th or 12 place SEC team. That doesn’t mean they won’t take it if there are not enough viable candidates from other conferences. The big 12 could easily end up a 4 or 5 bid league. I don’t think rpi is valued as much as you might think.

Too bad that Southern midweek game we lost wasn’t postponed til this week so we could cancel it like all those other teams did yesterday to not risk hurting their RPI.

Made it in with a 12-18 conference record in a bad PAC12 because they made a run in their conference tournament.

Many teams have head scratchers. It’s not as detrimental as the conference games we gave up.
