Player development, coaching stability and relationships will all factor into Stewart's decision regardless of when he makes it.

NIL carries a lot of weight as well.

Some schools are offering more than others at this stage, and that will factor into his commitment.

Multiple schools are talking "seven figures," according to industry sources. Texas and USC have some buzz around them heading into the summer.

Auburn made a big impression on Stewart this spring as well.

Can't think of a bigger/better situation. Not only is he elite but I have a feeling he would Kickstart LSU DL recruiting back to where it was years ago. Even though he wouldn't be ready to play for a while what a HUGE deal this would be for LSU and Bo Davis. I'm 42, it's been surreal seeing LSU without dominant DT play. This guy could get us headed in the right direction and Bo would make him a top 10 pick. He also seems like a guy that could spend a little time on the edge too like the KC DT, Chris Jones I think it is

So by age he's really would be a junior going to senior year anyway.

Can't miss prospect. We need him in 25 probably more than we need him in 26

If true than he is old for his grade and that’s good for reclassing.

Doesn't exist. I've heard this about Chris Davenport, Fournette, Maason Smith, Freak Johnson, and a bunch of others and the majority don't live up to the hype or dont lead LSU to a NC

Doubt it
LSU will match any NIL and there's a reason we took Shone Washington out of JUCO

Dude, Fournette lived up to the hype. Don’t group him with Chris Davenport and Anthony Johnson.

Well he's a high school recruit.
He's from Louisiana.
He's at a position of great need.

These are 100% the kids Kelly will pay big $$ for. Again, he's not going to overpay for transfers that were ok/decent at their previous schools, and command $1mil+ or some astronomical amount that kids on the team already don't make. I don't understand why you people don't understand. It's simple really.

People just don't understand this. They just want LSU to be Colorado so bad. LSU wants a sustainable course between Clemson and Colorado.

Didn’t say he was a bust - said he didn’t lead lsu to a NC - most of that wasn’t his fault but his teams never loss more than 3 games and his coach was fired

Fournette absolutely lived up to the hype. The only reason he didn’t win a Heisman in 2015 was because of the Alabama game and Saban padding Derrick Henry’s stats in those two extra games so he’d have 200 more yards on almost 100 more rushing attempts.

We are comparing that they were both called "can't miss prospects" on this board when they came out along with about 50 other kids through the years

Like say we miss on Stewart but get all the other highly rated DTs from LA plus a 4* from Texas - is that going to cause more wins or losses?

Davenport is nowhere close to the prospect Stewart is. Davenport was BARELY a 5-star, and had nothing close to the athleticism of Stewart. Stewart could literally play any position on the DL effectively. Davenport was basically the size of a guy who needed to play 0 or 1 tech.

Stewart started to be called the top prospect of his class when he was a freshman, he stood out that early. The kid is 6'6 280 as a sophomore in high school. The two are completely different kinds of prospects. Stewart is about as cant miss as they come. Davenport was definitely a very very good looking prospect but they still couldnt be further apart. People werent calling Devenport the best OVERALL player in his class freshman/sophomore year of high school. Davenport kind of ate his way out of himself, by the time he played at Tulane he was 335lbs and he just didnt carry that weight well.

I honestly don't see why not

The "why not" is because he loses a year of development. Sure he may be physically ready but once he goes to college his clock starts. He loses a year to get better mentally or wit technique or just mature emotionally. This kid could very much be the exception to the rule but I can't think of anyone that reclassified and excelled. Maybe yall can give me some examples to prove me wrong but it seems like the guys that reclassify struggle/redshirt as freshman and never amount to as much as their recruiting hype touted them to be.
