Titleist U505

I’d looked at these in the Golf shop, decided to hit one and I was surprised. The ball just explodes off the club, so when I was going to get my new irons, i decided on a mixed set that incorporated these. 5-pw with the Qi irons, 1 and 3 iron U505.

I played a lot of years with a King Cobra oversized 1-iron. It was my security blanket for days the driver just wasn’t working, and while a 1-iron wasn’t for everyone, my how things have changed with the U505.

To start, it has a draw bias face, so the banana balls a lot of people hit are mitigated somewhat. I hit some balls on the range this week with them, and the last one with the 3-iron was a 199 carry. 1-iron was carrying 210 consistently.

Both are very easy to hit and with last year’s models going on sale (and likely still in your golf shop) they’re something to go check out.
