Gendusa’s while not my favorite Italian place will give you incredible bang for your buck. I can order one entree and eat for three days off of it.

I've stopped often going to and from the Airport.

Harbor Seafood.

Heck, could just grab a few pounds of boiled shrimp at the seafood joint that adjoins it.

Haters gonna hate but I always go to Tastee Donuts, not just for their donuts but for their other offerings as well

In all my years reading this board, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this suggestion.
What do you recommend?

I’m not a huge seafood guy but this place is great.

I don't know what the other poster likes that aren't donuts, but the Tastee on Transcontinental has McKenzie's buttermilk drops, and they're better than at the locations on Clearview or Harrison. If I'm ever dropping someone off at MSY or flying into MSY and want something sweet, I'll either stop there or at the Cafe du Monde on Airline by Clearview.

We ate here after getting off of a flight before driving back home (BR area). I thought the place was pretty legit. Just minutes away from MSY.

Thanks for all of the suggestions

We ended up going to Deanies in Bucktown. Food was good but service was terrible

Dang man. You probably picked the worst place out of all the suggestions.

They have all sorts of stuff. A month or so ago I got some smothered pork chops that were the truth

That's an understatement. No idea how they keep up with stock on all of the items on their menu. I always get the sliders. Will need to try some of their other stuff.
