I just got my AMEX Gold. It's a $145 charge annually, but I get the first year no fee and %0.0 APR. Pretty pumped about because the points system is awesome, especially if you $5,000 in the first three months. I've got to load that joker up!!! Lol

I guess that's one way to look at it. Amex Gold isn't a credit card it's a charge card. Which means you have to pay it off in full each billing cycle. There are stiff penalties if you don't do this.

I think you got screwed. My offer (and the current one still listed) was/is $2,000 in the first three months. Regardless, $5k isn't that hard to do either. Just put reoccurring bills on there that you would pay anyways. I put insurance, water, electricity, cell phone on there and it adds up fast. Christmas didn't hurt either
