Trae has a higher ceiling that Garland, I'm not really sure how that is even arguable. Because he has actually done it. He had a season averaging close to 30 points I think.
He also has some bust in his boom.
Garland is really good but I can't help but feel he is getting a bit overrated. He is not even in the same stratosphere as his own teammate imo.
To me it all depends on acquisition cost for either.

Trae was the 8th highest paid guard and garland was 15th, so the contracts aren't that much different.
I'm taking trae over garland all day and I'm a big garland fan.
He just doesn't have the same juice that trae has.
Give me trae, oo, and bogdanovic and I'm happy.
