If she's older than 25, run. That level of disconnect over finances would be insane.

Sounds like you're intimidated by her families wealth. If she knows you're destined to be a poor and she's still hanging in there maybe you should do the same and see how it plays out.

You assume that her father would let her marry a poor. He’s probably happy letting her slum it up before settling down with a rich douche bag husband

Better than a heavy girl, hot spender. You should help her spend Daddy’s money while she’s calling you Daddy. Kinda weird that you’re scared of rich pussy.

Yeah I mean how many siblings does she have and does her dad own his own company? You should at least meet her family before you write off a future with her

My first FIL/wife was sort of along these lines. George and Barbara knew the FIL by his first name, lived in River Oaks, has his own jet type of stuff. Always gave the daughter 10-20K gifts for Bday and Christmas.

Anyway he offered to "give" us like 150K to help buy our first house. I turned it down because he was the type of guy that would hold that shite over your head and belittle you with it until the end of time.

Marriage didn't last long after that once she realized I was going to pave my own way. Which, ironically I think is why she started to like me in the first place, I stood out from the rest of her group because I was a regular kid from Alabama who didnt really give a f who's father had a new Bell

It is safe to say I no longer see a future with this girl given she has previously explained her intentions of being a housewife.

A woman that wants to be a housewife and stay at home mom can be the greatest thing a man could ask for.

You should determine if she feels that spending $100k/yr is important to her before giving up. Maybe it isn't. Or maybe her dad will just keep giving her money forever.

What's the problem here? Seems like if she is spending her daddy's money she won't be spending yours?

If you can’t figure out how to get a free trip to a vegas penthouse for the LSU game, you should be embarrassed.

In fact, just give me her number. I’ll take this “problem” off your hands.

I wouldn’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Is that the applicable saying?

Anyway, at the appropriate time you should at least raise the issue, expectations, future goals, etc., and see what she thinks.

She may very well understand the diff bw blowing daddy’s money and hers/yours, etc. I’ve know a few like that.
