You underestimate how many Netflix subscribers are in the US

you overestimate how many current netflix subscribers are actually NFL fans and will watch those games.

I don't have concrete proof, but i'm willing to bet a LARGE contingent of netflixers are stay at home moms and the type of "men who are obsessed with starbucks" and don't give a damn about the NFL (or any kind of sports for that matter)

If everyone had Netflix, it’d be highly unlikely that they would make this NFL deal

Its amazing how much the NFL and MLB love making it harder to watch their games.

There's 330 million people in this country.
There's about 120 million people between the age of 18-44 in this country.

There are 83 million Netflix subscribers in this country. I'm pretty sure anyone who watches NFL football already has Netflix.

I'm not turning on Netflix to watch the NFL. IDGAF if the Cowboys are on it. I'm sick of this shite.

This thread is a stark reminder of how many boomers are on this board

if a 34 year old is considered a boomer, then you're absolutely correct

What 34 year old doesn't have Netflix, or at least an account they pause until they want to watch something? This is a shocking thread

Its not like its Peacock or something

Makes me wonder what's in it for Netflix.

Same with Amazon Prime. They have a lot of market saturation already. Hard to imagine this will bring in enough new subscribers to justify paying the NFL for the games. Unless they don't pay the NFL very much, in which case you have to wonder why the NFL is giving up the ad revenue for broadcast games.

Is Paramount plus still going to do playoff games? Or was it on peacock?

I can’t remember

I'm 36 and don't have a Netflix account. We used to use my wife's sister's account but they cracked down on password sharing and we just didn't find there to be anything worth watching on it so we never made our own account

Not forward thinking. Money now now now. But eventually no one will be left to actually watch.

This is extremely outdated thinking.

Most prime time NFL games have 20-30 million viewers. Do you honestly believe that these games will have less viewers than that? I’m willing to bet it would be at least equal if not greater, particularly if the teams have good records and the games are good.

83 million subscriptions. Well over half the country has access to it.
