why would you write a novel on a company computer and not have a personal copy. and he had his crypto accounts open on it? why would you do that in the first place?

Right. Teaching kids how to think will lead to what they think. There are so many prevalent and poisonous ideas floating around today. fortunately you can only believe those if that's what you were taught to think. You cannot rationally arrive at those ideas by "free thinking."

How come you can't hear anyone else in the room besides these two people? There's also no mention of the school? Who is recording this? It looks like it's from the student's perspective, but it is a still camera, like on a tripod. If this was a spontaneous discussion, why was it being recorded?

I thought it was a very brilliant use of stoic logic.
The good thing about that original video is that you had absolutely 0 idea about the dude’s politics. You could tell he just wasn’t giving into name calling and assigning unnecessary emotional adjectives.
I also love that at the end the kid says “well now I feel like an F’n idiot” and the teacher doesn’t correct him. Just says it’s a part of the process.
