re: Seger or Springsteen

I'm a huge fan of both, but I know this board, in general, are Boss haters. . Both have those raspy, street voices and use them well. Both are great songwriters with prolific careers. But given the choice, I take the Boss.

Springsteen, very simply, puts on one of the best and longest shows in the business (at least when he was younger). I liked him as a teen but became a huge fan after I first saw him live. Seem him 6 times since.

The first time I listened to the Born to Run album in my parents' hous my mother (a musician) said "Whoever told that guy he could sing?" She said the same about Bono. Well, neither are what you'd call a classic singer, but many pop/rock stars aren't. But they do what they do and they do it well.
