What timeframe would satisfy your concern?

This drug has been in use since late 70’s, early 80’s. It’s not a new drug.

After all the threads here, all the news stories, how in the hell are people still posting this crap?

It’s not a “ Magic bean “. . It’s a synthetic copy of a naturally occurring hormone that you already have . It reduces cravings and or allows food to process through the Gi tract more slowly . That’s all we are talking about. Maybe your angst is caused by a combination of completely justifiable suspicion of Big pharmacy and your lack of knowledge about what this actually is. Is there a reason you aren’t this angry about statins or things like other hormone treatments?

I would like his analysis on using LSD and Ecstasy in treating PTSD.
I'd love to watch him tell a veteran suffering from PTSD "good luck with your magic beans"

Now go pull a list of FDA approved drugs that were later recalled
You might need to posts to list them all.

All these people with all these other health issues like these should have just shut up and went to lift some weights, I suppose.
And many of the drugs you listed would most certainly be made obsolete by positive lifestyle choices so not sure what point you’re making.

He's trying to morph this conversation into one based around a conception of honor.

And?
Should we stop advancing in medicine and trying to create new (or re-package old) treatments? Serious question.

They are willfully refusing to learn.

I don't think you understood the reference
The suit of armor in the movie = his ego.

Having people misrepresent the entire premise of your skepticism doesn’t help my suspicions.
I don’t doubt they work. The issue I have is that there will be consequences free repercussions from taking them. Tell me I’m a Luddite all you want but in my experience that occurs exactly 0% of the time in life.

This is so dumb. I used steroids/hgh and just about everything else under the sun essentially non stop for 18 years. I 'cheated' and didn't give a frick and don't care if someone does today. This has nothing to do with morals or 'cheating' with me. It has to do with self respect and self control. These people are fat because they choose to be that way. I do not think someone using GLP-1 drugs is 'cheating'. Don't know how more plainly I can say this. Has nothing to do with that at all.

quote:Those people don’t eat as much as you think they do. That used to be me. I never ate particularly healthy. But I didn’t eat all that much. I may have eaten a decent amount at one sitting, so if anybody was around me they’d think I ate a lot and a lot of junk and never got fat. The truth is my overall calories for the day was not what people may have thought it was.
So how do you explain people that eat the same terrible food constantly, never work out, and maintain a low BMI?
Then I started weight lifting and bulking up. Gained some mass, got bigger. Then I eventually stopped lifting but kept eating like I was bulking. I gained a lot of weight.
Then I got tired of being fat so I ate several hundred less calories, ate healthier food, lifted some weights, and amazingly, I’m not fat anymore.
I don’t have some unique willpower, I just decided to do what it took to get back in shape and I did it.
There are people close to me who think they are doing what it takes to lose weight, but they’re not. Plus, they don’t stick with it. So then they think they can’t lose weight and there’s some problem. There isn’t. They aren’t doing what it takes to lose weight like they think they are. Just like people may have assumed I could eat anything and not gain weight. Their perception was off.

There are consequences for malignant tumor removal and chemotherapy, too.

No. Just don’t try and tell me that taking a cure all will be consequences free and then tell me I’m the moron for not trusting Big Pharma.
Given the last 4 years I’d say you might be bordering on the technical definition of insane.

I imagine their stances on psychology and psychological analysis/treatment are more ignorant than their stances on 20-year old medicine.

These people are fat because they choose to be that way.
You can pretend it isn’t about your ego, but your post history makes it apparent.

No shite. Unfortunately no one here is arguing from a stance that the benefits outweigh the potential risks. The sentiment here is that this drug is risk feee.

post one that was pulled 2 decades after
you saying this shows you 100% lack the understanding of how these medicines work
they are just replacement or addition to hormones already released in the body
do you think taking testosterone replacement is going to suddenly cause issues? because its very similar.
