I found some really good sliced Turkey at Butcher Boy so I had a turkey and Swiss sandwich for lunch.

Same. I was not prepared for a nasty stinky boy either.

I told my son he needs to shower at least twice a day.

I’d love to live somewhere where it’s only summer.

It’s not uncommon to have all four seasons in one day here.

I’m looking at apartments now for the youngest. I can’t believe how expensive places are even away from LSU.

we built this house with a patio and the roof extends over it. Mid to late afternoons have always sucked but I bought some sun shades and use them and it's a game changer.

5 AM runs when it's already in the upper 80's with +80% humidity?! Frick dat. This is why I swim and row for cardio in July and August. I enjoy May, June, September, and October, but July and August in South LA can frick off.

My sunshades are the only reason the morning and early evening are tolerable. that 2-6 slot though even with the fans just sucks. I always make it worse on myself traveling somewhere a bit more tepid in late July/ early August for a week or two and that ends up killing the resistance I had built up to that point. I think this year I'm headed up to the UP to let mini AS check off another state and enjoy some time on the Great Lakes and probably let him see Mackinac (and buy a LB of fudge).

Back from the gym.

Ate a dollar frozen dinner - Michelina's pizza snack rolls. With the remnants of a slushie I bought yesterday.

I have some friends who identify as such.

It is one of the most beautiful parts of this country, the four months that it's not frozen.

I was talking on the phone with a yooper early in June once when she yelled out loud. I asked what happened and she told me she burned her hand on the wood stove.

Yeah, I don't think it's uncommon for nights to dip into the mid 40's in early June still. Even in late July it will be mid to high 70's and get into the mid 50's at night.
