I feel somehow, some way that the Mail Robot from The Americans is behind this.

Was one of them posting here? You sound like a very busy person.

How would you know? You have zero legal education.

It's still the case that leaves Trump with the greatest legal exposure
Nah. There are so many issues here. Even if Trump did anything wrong, which is unlikely…the actions of the DOJ poisoned it all. Sorry kiwi. He isn’t going to jail.

The investigative team used classified cover sheets for that purpose, until the FBI ran out because there were so many classified documents, at which point the team began using blank sheets with handwritten notes indicating the classification level of the document(s) seized,” the prosecutors wrote.

The DOJ faced the exact issue, albeit in more egregious instances, both in 2016 and 2024. In 2016, they said no reasonable prosecutor would pursue such charges. In 2024 they essentially said the same thing, citing mental infirmity as a further excuse. The difference in the Trump case is he had the authority to declassify documents in question. Neither Hillary nor Biden did.

Better chance of that being true than the case being dismissed at this point.

As usual, you post something that misses the point.
I was responding to an assertion that the case would be dismissed at this point based on the DOJ's handling of documents produced in discovery.
Your response brings up the issue of whether the case should have been brought- missing my point entirely.
And Trump having the authority to declassify the documents and actually having declassified the documents are two different things. You TRump dolts somehow are unable (or unwilling) to distinguish the difference.

Yep, admitted to it and allowed for a search of his premises and Penn Center without DoJ officially asking. Big difference.
Biden had documents going back to the 70’s, documents he never should’ve had to begin with.
Weren’t his lawyers the ones who searched for, and found the documents?
Out of the blue? Just like that? After having Trump raided?
Sounds like a case of his group hearing rumblings about a whistleblower, and they got on top of the situation before it leaked.

quote:You take multiple liberties with assumptions there, none of which may be true
It's one thing to have uncovered documents in your possession and alerting the DoJ to the fact. It's another thing to ostensibly comply with a subpoena, say you have turned over documents and then have it uncovered that you knew you did not turn them all over and then by omitting that force another person , namely your lawyer to then attest to something that you know to be mostly to patently untrue. .
