I had a similar experience with porn. Prolly didn't go more than 3 days without watching from age 16 to 28. I had kept telling myself I was gonna stop but never did. I began praying about it and, 2 days after my 28th birthday, I randomly came across a random video of a guy who cold turkey gave up psychedelic drugs after praying to God to get him through a bad trip. Something came over me that made me think I could do that with porn. I told myself right there, this is the day. I haven't watched porn since. Many might say I did that on my own without outside help. But I was unable to accomplish that goal until I prayed for help.
