re: Do you legitimately enjoy your job?

I love my job and keep putting off retirement just to keep doing it. There are times it is highly stressful, creates huge pressure/stakes, and can be extremely chaotic. I function better (relatively) in chaos, pressure, and dangerous situations so if it weren't for my job feeding this need I would have sought out a lot more of those situations in my hobbies and it may have shifted over into direct self-destructive behavior.

For now, I still love going into work and even after 30 years each new case seems to find a way to be unique. I plan to continue until the wife is ready to retire. The comp doesn't hurt either.
