And on the flip side, how are things handled on the front end to try and keep these individuals from doing stupid shite to end up jailed to begin with?
These issues unfortunately start at home with parenting. A large body of research has established that ACES lead to poor healthy outcomes over the course of someone's entire life, and increased mental health deficiencies.
We respond by cutting daycare subsidies in this state.

Yes, more funding will fix our degenerate state

Daycare subsidies won’t change kids whose parents indoctrinate them that whitey is evil and All Cops Are Bastards.
Unless you plan on having a “lost generation” of kids taken away from their parents to be raised in a boarding environment, a lot of those kids will be fricked from birth due to their home life. Enabling that shite because it is “their culture” worsens their prospects rather than improves them because it normalizes behavior that you don’t want.

Maybe we should stop subsidizing poor people making shite tier decisions like having children they can’t afford out of wedlock to multiple partners.

that is a new one. Have never seen crime rates and destruction of family blamed on government not paying for daycare.

I agree. So how about stop incentivizing women to keep popping out another child every 9 months whose Daddy ain't gonna be around?
