Engineering at Hillsdale:

I can go to the LSU or UL-Lafayette website and see the specific engineering degrees one can major in, like:

Chemical Engineering
Petroleum Engineering
Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
And more..

I've been searching through the Hillsdale website, and I can't find that. That link just talks about some sort of "pre-engineering" tract, which you get a four year degree in an academic major like math or physics, then:

quote:

After successful completion of a four-year degree at Hillsdale College emphasizing science and mathematics, the graduate may apply to the engineering graduate school of choice. The graduate will then be well prepared for the corresponding graduate school studies. This is because the graduate work corresponds to engineering science. It does not depend on all of the undergraduate engineering coursework but mainly on the science and math knowledge taught at Hillsdale. Engineering graduate schools may provide a special course to introduce the science graduate to the science basics of the chosen engineering specialty. Completion of the master’s or Ph.D. degree in this way leads to many professional employment opportunities. This is a popular option leading to careers in engineering.

So if someone wanted to pursue say...a Chemical Engineering degree outright. Something that can graduate with in four years (I know, Chem E is probably more a five year major), it appears they cannot do that by merely attending Hillsdale College.

There is a partnership program that students can arrange upon admission.
