What matters is the school you can get into and how you're going to pay for it.
A moron, and I mean a real frickin' moron chooses Hillsdale College over Columbia or USC or Emory or Northwestern or Harvard or Yale or Johns Hopkins simply because they're protesting over some bullshite.
Stop living in the moment with all this campus shite. These are all world class institutions that the vast majority of Hillsdale students would've gone to had they been able to get in and pay for.
Comparing Hillsdale to Columbia is almost as bad as comparing Springhill College to Columbia or any of the other schools I've listed.

you sure about that? These “elite” colleges are squeezing the last bits of juice out of their names but they are not far from being jokes.

Does Hillsdale College have an accredited Engineering program for engineering degrees?
If not, then you sure as shite wouldn't choose it over USC or Northwestern for a STEM major.
Now, for others types of majors, sure, it may not matter, so maybe you pick the school with the better culture.

This is correct, but there are other variables. What is your major? Are you going to grad school? Where do you want to live? What kind of job/career do you want?
And, as you mentioned, how are you paying for it? Scholarship? Student loans? College savings?
All of those are important factors in whether an "elite" ultra-expensive education is worth it.
All this stuff on the news is but a blip in time and shouldn't even be a factor. The crazies are a small minority.
All of these schools have normal students as well. They all have College Republican chapters, etc.

That’s debatable. It’s becoming more and more clear that the schools you listed do not encourage diversity of thought. Their power is in their reputation, which doesn’t simply deserve to be perpetuated. The power is in the network, and you have to say the right things to be part of it.

Plenty of good schools out there without having to go to those more "prestigious" universities that are now full of militant commies, indoctrinating young minds with their insanity.
