Someone would probably pay that for a pristine 1995 truck. There’s a lot of nostalgia for 90s pickups.
Sorry for the thread hijack, but I have to say. Nothing is crazier than the sellers on Texas Gun Trader. I understand sellers wanting to start high, but they routinely list ammo or used guns for higher than what they cost new at a store. And then they’ll write something aggressive like “don’t waste my time with low offers”. Why would I ever meet you in a parking lot to buy ammo from you when I can get the exact same ammo for cheaper from Academy? I just assume they’re trying to sell to people who can’t legally own.

It’s not just nostalgia. They are better trucks. I’ve got a Chevy a little older than a ‘95 and get multiple calls per year from friends, co -workers, exwives, etc. stuck on the side of the road somewhere who know that my reliable old Chevy truck with its decent 6 won’t even strain to tow their abominations to a dealer or repair shop. Got two calls on one day from a girlfriend whose modern Mercedes died in BR and I towed to dealership. After about 4 hours got a second call from her, as her Nazi abomination crapped out again in traffic only 3 blocks from the dealership. The story she got from the Vietnamese shop I towed her to for the second tow of the day said that it appeared that te manufacturer had saved a dollar or so by putting her windshield washer and carburetor on the same chip; when her windshield washer ran out of fluid it interpreted this as a sigal that the carb was not getting gas.
As far as I know, my Chevy doesn’t have any chips as just about all of recent car models do. I listen to complaints from te incapacitated vehicle owners that I generously tow for the price of a beer to the effect that my exhaust emits a lot of oily smoke. I explain. that this is a good thing, since it ells me that I still have oil, and that it is not. time. for me to dump my annual 2 or 3 quarts of oil into the engine.
