Does anyone find themselves making groaning noises more when doing anything strenuous or simple things like bending down as they get older? My 1.5 year-old groaned/grunted when she crouched down earlier mimicking me. Made me realize I groan a lot when doing just about anything. Opening a jar, crouching down, lifting anything, etc... Is this an age thing or am I just a pansy?

Yes, I'm 82 and usually fart when I do anything strenuous.

Old man groans are a rite of passage.

They also serve as a subtle sign to your wife / kids that you’re sick of their shite and one bad day away from murdering all of them.

I maintain a healthy diet and workout regime. Feel no different than I did 20 years ago. Prob better actually as I do a lot more cardio now than then.

Nearing 72 and yes, when I squat down, I will groan as I get back up. I do it more as life goes on. I think it’s just an old people thing.

Yes, not sure why. I'm in better shape than I was 10 or 15 years ago.

If you grunt when tying your shoes, you're old.

Last October I slipped a disc in my lower back. (Recent CT shows lytic fracture w/out carcinoma actual damage). I groaned every time I moved except breathing for 3+ months. I am just about fully groaned now.

Had this convo with my son yesterday. He asked If I was ok because I always grunt/groan when I get up. I said I'm fine I just groan to cover up all the snapping and popping noises when I get up .
