Duck Hunting Maurepas WMA

Anyone ever do any flooded timber duck hunting in Maurepas WMA around I-10 and I-55 part.

Gets much better this time of year. Most people are burned out and you won’t have any competition

Thx Ron. Originally from Alexandria and always hunted flooded timber. Been in BR for 27 years and would like to get back to duck hunting

Giant hydrangea killed mareapas duck hunting. I slaughtered late 80s early 90s….

Real talk. I would head back towards Alexandria to hunt flooded timber.

Yeah it was really good. Used to hunt Saline reserve above Alexandria. We murdered ducks up there … then again that was back when we were still using lead lol

Only woodies and hoodies in that swamp, but it is flooded timber hunting just no greenheads.
