It’s time for us to deal with Iran once and for all. Unfortunately Biden is too weak to do anything but mumble about nothing incoherently so our guys are dying for nothing. His daddy Obama was the one that sent $400 million in Swiss francs and euros on pallets to Iran in the middle of the night on an unmarked 737 cargo jet. That’s how Biden deals with Iran. “Please take this money and promise not to be mean anymore”.

Keep sending them money, though!

You're right, the US should stop sending money but keep sending weapons/ammo.

Things needed when Russia invades a country.

If I was president of the US, I would bitch slap Iran so hard they would never contemplate killing another US soldier again.

I would eliminate Iran's Air Force, Navy, and Nuclear program. I wouldn't stop until it was 100% gone.

We can not afford a "proportional" response to something like this. That shows weakness. Anything less than a complete arse-kicking is not acceptable.

There has to be an answer for it, plain and simple. I don’t think it will happen though. We just look so weak right now.

The 3700+ Shaheds that have been used to strike Ukraine has most likely led to improved design and tactics. Same war, different front.

Correct on all accounts. We are marching towards something much bigger that’s not good for anyone out of weakness. People are afraid to be strong thinking it’ll start WWIII, but it’s proving to be the exact opposite.

Everyone freaked tf out when Trump popped Solemani and Iran did nothing because they knew Trump wasn’t to be messed with. Nobody is batting an eye at the weakness of Biden outright encouraging Iran to be more and more aggressive.

I would leave several black spots on the earth between Syria and Iraq immediately. I’d then send tens of thousands of drones to be launched into Iran from somewhere in the ME. I would make sure it was the largest recorded drone strike in history to this point. While I did this I’d put Iran completely in the dark and f their nuke program again.

Maybe we’ll be wrong, but I’m not holding my breath.

He's also too dumb and incompetent. I suspect that even the work generals know this.

It's because the US has projected weakness for the last 15 years that this crap is happening.

It's quite impossible to imagine Iran attacking US troops when W was President. It's because Obama, Trump, and Biden have been willing to accommodate terrorists.

Peace happens through strength.

The worst terror attack in US history......was on Ws watch.

Trump had none of this nonsense on his watch.

Uh Trump snuffed Solemani and Iran went dormant until he left office. Trump also ran ISIS out of town. Trump didn’t put up with the terrorists. He spoke to them in the only language they understand - overwhelming force.

Let's not forget bombing the heck out of Russians in Syria.

I can tell you right now what they will be refueling. The answer is D) All of the Above. The Eisenhower carrier strike group is in the ME so they will need refueling for their F-18s, AWACS and you have F-35s and F-16s from airbases in the region as well as transports like C-17s. This is more than likely not an increase in air tankers but more of a rotation where another tanker unit can rotate back to the states for maintenance, etc. We also refuel NATO aircraft like the Typhoon and Gripen.

I would go for a more nuanced approach. First, eliminate the Iranian Air Force, then sink anything bigger than a pirogue going from Iran to Yemen. Once the IRIAF is neutralized, I'd tell the Saudis to start earning the military assistance we've been providing them all these years by going full-force against the Houthis. Yemen is on their southern border and they could roll in almost unopposed, with us providing air cover.

What are you smoking?

Trump literally gave Afghanistan back to the terrorists. He tried to give ISIS the chance to retake Syria, and only changed his mind when Mattis told him that staying in Syria would help us get the oil.

Good grief. And you think that he "ran ISIS out of town," when he literally tried to desert our Kurdish friends and withdraw our forces in Syria, which would have resulted in the release of the 40,000 ISIS prisoners at Al-Hol.

My last stash of a mostly peaceful Middle East.

What’s the alternative in Afghanistan? Their govt was largely ineffective and we should have been gone years prior. The biggest issue with Afghanistan policy is the way the withdrawal was carried out, and that is on Biden.

Compared to actively funding and arming them in prior admin? I’ll take their elimination after Trump took the gloves off. We went from Isis recreating a caliphate to cal-abated.

British Defence Intelligence
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 29 January 2024

From 24 February 2022 to 25 January 2024, Russian Ground Forces (RGF) likely lost approximately 2,600 Main Battle Tanks (MBTs) and 4,900 other Armoured Combat Vehicles (ACVs) in Ukraine. RGF probably lost around 40% fewer vehicles in 2023 than in 2022. It is highly likely that the reduction in armoured vehicle attrition rates was due to the increasingly positional nature of the conflict in 2023 and because Russia spent a significant proportion of the year in a defensive posture.

Since early October 2023, RGF have been on the offensive in eastern Ukraine. During this period, Russian armoured vehicle losses have increased and the RGF have likely lost up to 365 MBTs and 700 ACVs but only achieved minor territorial gains. However, Russia can probably generate at least 100 MBTs a month and therefore retains the capacity to replace battlefield losses and continue this level of offensive activity for the foreseeable future.
