Monday's big news of Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby being ruled eligible to play by a Texas judge despite being recently ruled ineligible by the NCAA for gambling sent shockwaves across the college athletics world.

Many college officials were stunned by the latest ruling, and schools like Georgia and Nebraska have forbidden their teams from playing Texas Tech in the future.

College football is dead..... This dude literally bet on his own games and is being allowed to play. I remember Auburn but being allowed to play on television when I was a kid because of a few stupid hundred dollar handshakes. Moth matters anymore

It’s a good first step the true test will be post season. Let’s see if they maintain their integrity if it’s playoff tournament. It’s easy to be brave when it’s cancelling regular season non conference games.
