John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports
Tom Fornelli of CBS Sports unveiled his SEC coaching job rankings for 2017 on Tuesday and he pegged Alabama at No. 1.
quote:

1. Alabama

This didn't require a lot of thought on my part. I will say that the gap between this job and others in the conference isn't as large as you might think initially, and that's due in large part to what Nick Saban has done here. Even so, when you combine everything Alabama has accomplished and can continue to do in the future, it's the best job in the conference. It also has the best coach in the conference, and when you put those two things together, that's how dynasties happen.
Complete Rankings:
1. Alabama
2. LSU
3. Georgia
4. Florida
5. Auburn
6. Tennessee
7. Texas A&M
8. Ole Miss
9. South Carolina
10. Arkansas
11. Missouri
12. Kentucky
13. Mississippi State
14. Vanderbilt

That's like ranking bikini models based on the color of their bikini.

"This didn't require a lot of thought on my part. " Obviously. I'd be afraid to actually hear your thoughts based on this shitty list you posted.

If you are getting the top recruiting class every year and you have the best coaching staff in the country and you get the benefit of the doubt by every polling service and you dont win the NC every year

LSU at 2 with the 81st ranked coach? Seems like they could have hired much better if it is the second best job in the country... Or maybe the guy at the top of the list runs off all these "competitive" candidates making it hard to find a replacement that wants to fight that battle annually.

State is too high

Texas A&M ranked way too low. They pay great and are slow to fire coaches.

Last place I'd go would be CoMo. No support, poor in state recruiting, poopy fans.

The person who wrote this has no clue if it's from a "if the job were open right now" perspective. It's going to take a coach with a massive ego to take a chance at following Saban. That job is toxic until it has a stop gap coach first.

Massive ego? Come on, man. Any coach with a shred of competitiveness in their body would jump at the challenge. Their history speaks for itself and goes back a long way before Saban got there.

Think I'd put State above UK
