ESPN announced today that Brent Musburger and Jesse Palmer will be the lead SEC Network announcers when the channel launches this fall.

Musburger's new role will open the door for Chris Fowler or Rece Davis to call the top ESPN/ABC national game each week with Kirk Herbstreit.

Palmer, the former Florida quarterback who has been an ESPN analyst and announcer for the networks Thursday broadcasts will continue in that role in addition to calling one SEC Network game each week.

The two announcer will make their debut by calling the Texas A&M-South Carolina game on the SEC Network on August 28th.
