Jeremy Fowler with CBSSports.com is reporting that Alabama is expected to hire former Washington assistant Tosh Lupoi football staff member, according to sources.

Lupoi visited Alabama's football campus recently and could wind up in the team's personnel department, though his exact position is still unclear. He won't be a position coach.

Lupoi was an assistant at Cal and Washington for six seasons and was reportedly set to join Steve Sarkisian at USC before a Los Angeles Times report surfaced that Lupoi allegedly paid $4,500 for a recruit's tutoring through a local high school track coach.
Lupoi denied the allegations and was absolved of wrongdoing after a six-week NCAA investigation. Washington paid Lupoi a $300,000 mutual separation buyout.
