Friend,

The fire is quite far from Yosemite. Have you heard any reports recently? I know the park has reopened, but today the air quality was significantly worse compared to yesterday (103 vs 55). I was supposed to visit SuperSaint in San Francisco and he was going to take me on a tour of Yosemite, but I fear that will not be possible in the Autumn.

AQ was Good today. Looks like it’s going to get worse here in the next few days but hoping for a respite for the following weekend.

You’ve got to do a top ten thread on Yosemite friend. Top ten GOAT.

So I skipped out on my October trip due to AQ and visibility. Going back in late May.

Really want Tioga Road to be open when I go. It’s a crapshoot. We will know more April 1st.

Friend,

We are here now and the weather is perfect. I assume a nice front brushed through about 36 hours ago. The winds have been light from the north and the skies are clear. The air quality this morning is pure! It feels like Front Day! We are hiking Half Dome tomorrow, but for now, The Ahwahnee is quiet and delightful with the first glimmer of light peaking through the valley. Yosemite doesn’t get better than this! Perhaps you could change your plans and meet us for dinner tonight?
