Where to stay in Key West in November

Wife and I looking to go to key west in the middle of November without our daughter. This is our first time. Only staying for a few days so don’t necessarily want to rent a car. Where should we stay so that we can still enjoy the weather/water but that also puts us in walking distance of restaurants/bars/shopping?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Others will suggest more expensive places at the other end of Duval but I stayed at best western hibiscus ( don’t write it off bc it’s a BW... check the reviews out) it has a nice pool with cabanas all surrounding it .
You can walk to everything or rent a scooter, which I did. It’s close to southernmost point as well.

Simonton Court is our go-to. A block off Duval so close to everything, but still very quiet.

We stayed at the Ocean Key resort on the busy end of Duval. Walking distance to alot of restaurants, bars, and the marina. Older hotel, but nice enough. Had a huge patio overlooking the Ocean/Gulf.

Stayed at Ocean Key resort about 3 weeks ago. Tough to beat the location. The pier was a great place to grab a drink and watch the boats come in. Rented a golf cart for the duration of the trip and feel like this is a must to get around especially if you want to visit the beaches/Fort Zachary.

I don’t know, we’ve never even considered a golf cart there. Fort Zach is probably the only place you couldn’t easily walk to if you’re staying in old town and we’ve just gone there by bike. Can’t imagine needing or even wanting to drive a golf cart around when everything is so walkable. Everybody is different though.

Geez. 2 people flew Memphis to KW 3rd week of August. Stayed 3 nights. For flights and hotel it was only $600 per person using Travelocity. I'm sure November is more of a peak season than August tho.

That’s insane for that place. Find a smaller, off the radar boutique type place and enjoy.

We stayed here a couple years ago, close to everything you want to do. Awesome, quiet a block and a half off Duval. Great little pool area, pretty reasonable.

Almond Tree Hotel, its right off Duval but further down from the busy part. We walked everywhere we went. The staff is wonderful and there is breakfast they serve in courtyard and in the evening they had drinks, fruit trays, cheese and cracker boards, etc. That was a nice little touch

I will never stay anywhere else after staying in this Hidden Beach AirBnb last year.

We were able to walk all of Duval St. easily from here. It's waterfront with a private deck area right on the beach which we enjoyed in the evenings. Right next door is The Reach Resort and the AirBnb host provides an access card in the room so that you can use their pool and all the amenities. We also had access to the Casa Marina resort a few blocks over though we never ended up going there because we enjoyed the pool next door just fine.

We are thinking of going during November, too, and have never been before.
We’ve looked at Courtney’s Place - but not sure if that’s something you’d be interested in.
They have a pool and it’s close to Duval St.

Winter is the busy season for South Florida, as most of the tourists come from the Northeast when its cold.

Stayed at Southernmost House, quaint and historical... JFK used to have meet ups there... at other end of Duval but still walkable to everything

Has anyone stayed at or visited the Barbary Bay Resort?

Ocean Key is my favorite resort. It’s a small Island so I don’t see the need for a car or golf cart. I uber if I’m going somewhere that isn’t in walking distance. Southernmost Hotel has a nice beach and is on Duval but the exact opposite end from Ocean Key. Its upper Duval. Lower Duval is where Slopppy Joes, Hogs Breath, Mallory Square, and all that stuff is located. Depends on what you are looking to do while you are hear. Getting out on the water is the best stuff to do here. Snorkeling, diving, sand bars, sunset tours, etc.
A couple hotels I like are Casa Marina and Marriott Beachside But they aren’t walking distance to lower Duval. The Hyatt Beachside is another nice hotel downtown.

I have a trip scheduled there in November too. Staying at the Hyatt Centric.
