Where is a good location to stay in Budapest? I don't know a lot about the area, so any other recommendations would be appreciated.

Good public transportation, so if you find an area that you like, don't be afraid to do it. I stayed in the Jewish quarter, in district VII

I'll be there on Monday. We got an AirBnB just about 100 yards from Chain Bridge on the Buda side. It looks to be a good location from some of the things we want to see.

This is pretty much exactly what I did. Just be sure to stay in District V, in or around Vörösmarty Square. There is an awesome indoor market there for food and souvenirs. Also, do the Torture Museum, those Soviets were some harsh SOB during the Cold War! The Thermal Spas are relaxing as well, just don't be upset when you don't see hot Eastern European women walkng around in next to nothing. Old and fat Europeans dominate these places.

The city is awesome and really cheap. Enjoy

I stay about 2-3 blocks from Országház. Safe area, easy access to transport, decent restaurants, and a great view of the parliament building at night. We had a large 3BR 1BA place for about 100 euros a night. Just check AirBnB or HomeAway.
