Been a "Hertz Gold Plus Rewards" man for years. President's Circle. Mainly because of business travel.

But if it's personal, not always the cheapest. I've used Kayak to search for deals, but what do you use?

Scott's Review.

This. If you are a member don’t bother looking anywhere else. A big plus for me is you don’t have to pay until you get the car, so if the price lowers you can cancel and rebook.

You would be correct! Big difference. Thank you Fun Bunch and Ron!

My wife will cancel and rebook a bunch of times up to the day before we are leaving.

One time we booked a luxury car for less than we had originally booked a standard.

Keep in mind that the rental car companies are now in league with the red light/speeding camera companies and you will get an admin fee if you make a "violation". Rented a minivan to go to N.O. last year. Supposedly I was speeding per their camera and had to pay a $50 admin fee to Budget. Threw the "citation" from the city of N.O. in the trash. It is buried in the fine print of the rental agreement.
