Baton Rouge to Biloxi roundtrip via New Orleans.
Back in the 80's Northwest had a promotion where if you flew certain cities you got a free flight. This was one of them so some friends and I did it. When we got to Biloxi they gave us the option of taking a bus back to Baton Rouge and saving some time so we did that. Odd promotion. And Northwest screwed up and I ended up with two free tickets.

The Loganair Westray to Papa Westray route is the shortest scheduled passenger flight in the world. Flights on this route are scheduled for one and a half minutes, and actual flying time is closer to one minute. The record for the fastest flight is 53 seconds.

Birmingham to Atlanta, 151 miles between airports
Same here. I can't think of a shorter one I've been on. Other than a short flight around downtown Birmingham, but that was just taking off, flying around, and landing back at the airport.

Yeah. Every time we come back on the jet internationally, we have to do customs at MSY and then back to the hangar in Hammond.

Continental also used to fly from IAH to Ellington as well which is about 30 miles.
I did this round trip twice in one day to get 4 segments to requalify for CO platinum status several years ago. Totally worth it.

Delta starting new flights out of RDU is great for the locals, hopefully MSY comes soon.
I hope so as well. I don't really want to fly Allegiant just to get a direct from RDU to MSY.

flew a Lockheed L1011 from Miami to Freeport Grand Bahamas (110 miles). I don't even think they retracted the wheels - and considering how crappy a plane an L1011 was, that was probably a good call.

Dallas to Austin.
The pilot came on the loud speaker and said we were late and there was no time to pass out drinks. He said we would go fast. We touched down in Austin in 25 minutes.
