I was going through a couple older threads but thought I would try to get some recent trip reviews.

Wanting to go in January...first time in that area and generally looking for a possible younger than 40 crowd.

Also are their any websites you recommend to search?

Personally I would find a place in Isla Mujeres instead. there are only a couple all inclusives but the island is fantastic

as for cancun, my wife and her mom have gone to the Finest a couple times and they both love it

I like Live Aqua the best of the resorts i've been to so far and its a younger crowd.

We were supposed to be going to the Hyatt Ziva but not sure if that happens this year.

alright here we go. I do not know much about Cancun proper but I have a ton of info on surrounding area.

Playa Mujeres is just down the road with amazing all inclusive resorts.
Excellence, Secrets and Dreams.

Note Finest Excellence is also a great place but it is family oriented.

Isla Mujeres also has some cool places as well.
Palace Couples
Privilege Aluxes
Zoetry Villa Rolandi
Mia reef

Honestly you don't need an all inclusive hotel on Isla. The wife and I are going to Isla later this summer staying at the Lotus Beach Hotel.

Ill check back on this thread if you have any questions

Lotus Beach Hotel.

We were staying at Na Balam last summer when they were completing construction on Lotus next door.

They gave us a tour of the rooms (really nice) and let us hang in the pool and gave us a bunch of free drinks and Hookah.

It's a really nice spot

Thanks,

I've read a bunch of people suggest Isle Mujures.

We're pretty laid back and will be spending most of the time at the pool and beach. I guess in a sense the all inclusive would take much of the hassle away from the daily need to go out etc...besides the nights.

Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, or even south of Playa if you like it quieter. Cancun is just a big party city and not the nicest place to go.

Correct. We're looking for something on the east coast.

Went on a couples trip back in October to the El Dorado Royale Rivera Maya and had an enjoyable time.

Have been with the family to the Paradisus Cancun.

Just out of curiousity why are you looking for under 40 crowd if you are with your wife? Are you looking for nightlife? Like clubs? I'd assume if so your age would be important as personally in my mid 30s I'm not looking to party with 18-21 year olds either.

I get not wanting a retiree crowd, I was just curious what the appeal of not hanging with 40-55 year olds was?

You kind of answered the question. I've read some reviews on a couple that they're very up in age and we'd like one that's more social during day and nights. It's not a deal breaker by any means however.

I 100% understand that if I want nightlife to go to a club or bar...and no we don't want to be around 21 years either...unless it's a bachelorette trip...

EPM would be my recommendation. I’m going to secrets maroma beach in August and I’ve heard really good things. We are staying there 6 nights for 2k. It was 50% more pre covid
