Vancouver or Montreal/QC?

Looking to visit either east or west coast. Which one would be better for two 29 y/o.
Not big on hiking, but dont mind being outdoors for along periods of time.
Like bars and restaurants/nightlife
Montreal/ QC gives that European away from home feeling, Vancouver seems to be like Seattle but up a few miles. Anyone strongly prefer one over the other?

I'd pick Montreal/QC, but I'm inclined to appreciate the Francophone areas & enjoy the opportunity to hear & speak French. Vancouver is perhaps more scenic.

Montreal is awesome at that age. Airbnb on St. Denis, and walk or uber everywhere.

have been to both, and i prefer montreal for a city vacation and vancouver for its proximity to squamish and whistler. but i am more of an outdoors guy. that said, a day trip outside of montreal will put you in some beautiful countryside.
both cities had tons of bars, clubs, restaurants that were really cool. and cultural sites/visits like museums. and different neighborhoods with their own distinct feel (and language in montreal, but everyone speaks english too).
you honestly can't go wrong with either one. but if i were going for an "outdoors" trip it would be to vancouver/squamish/whistler. if i wanted an awesome city/cultural experience, montreal for sure.

Vancouver is more like California and equally as expensive. Montreal will have much more of a European feel, especially the food and culture.

Been to all three. Here is my order of preference:
1. Vancouver.
2. QC
3. Montreal
Can't really go wrong. Not sure it makes sense to try to do both Montreal and QC unless you have a lot of time.

I do not. Only 3 days in that area. Figured I’d it QC just because I’m close enough.

Only been to Montreal, but I loved it. Lots of bars, restaurants, night life, breweries, sights, etc.

Heavily depends on time of year. Both or nice in the summer, but I'd prefer Vancouver. Spring or Fall, I'd prefer Montreal. Winter - Def go to Vancouver.
My preference is the Pacific Northwest in the July/August. Water, Mountains and great scenery everywhere.

If you are researching Vancouver I would strongly recommend looking into Victoria as well. Victoria has the European feel for sure.
