I’m looking for more like a lake house somewhere peaceful with direct water access so if we want to rent a boat or go kayacking. Any ideas would be great

I haven't been out there a ton but we found a cove this past summer that had just a few boats in it.
I believe there are hippie hollow and devil's cove that aren't for children. Ya, should probably avoid places with those names

Have you thought about the Ozarks?
Bull Shoals, Taneycomo, Norfork, Greer’s Feery...
Also, lakes in Northern Georgia:
Burton, Allatoona, Oconee, Rabun County...
