So the wife and I are expecting our first child to be born in about 7 months.

lay at nice beach, enjoy the weather, food, and fun activities.

We are thinking about 5-7 days vacation, spending around 3g total.

Hedonism....

Jfc people...

Take a fricking joke. I'm sure he doesn't really think his life is ruined...

There are a lot more things about the post that were retarded.

For starters, taking a pregnant woman to the Caribbean is probably the worst idea you could possibly have for a vacation.

I'm not a geographer, is Roatan considered the Caribbean?

You can rent a beach house on VRBO and eat very reasonably down there. Flights will be the most costly part of the trip.

BVI but you can't sniff it w/ $3K. Easier & cheaper to do an all inclusive in DR or Jamaica.

Punta Cana was kick arse for my honeymoon

ETA - Do not go to the Caribbean if your wife is pregnant

Go on a adult only resort with Sandals in the Bahamas.

Turks and Caicos is zika free and Grace Bay is freaking amazing. Stay at one of the cheaper places. Can probably make it work $ wise as long as you don't go crazy with dinners and spending.

I wouldn’t do Mexico with a pregnant wife

for $3k, go sign up for a Costco account and then use their travel service to go to one of the Palace Resorts in Mexico/Jamaica/etc..

all-inclusive.. so you can float in the pool for 6 days with your pregnant wife and eat hamburgers

On that budget, Cabo is probably the place for them, or Puerta Vallarta.

Anyway, if you don't mind an arid climate with less greenery and vegetation than most of the tropical islands down there, I'd suggest Aruba.

Attributes:

- Some of the best white sand beaches anywhere
- Top 1-3 in the Caribbean in food/restaurants (best steak on Earth at El Gaucho)
- Best sunsets in the Caribbean
- Very low crime rate in comparison to most islands in the Caribbean...don't want to get banned again, so I'll just leave it at that.
- Wind surfing capital of the Caribbean
- Dutch architecture...buildings looks like cakes.
- Home to Carlos and Charlies, one of the best bars/nightclubs in the Caribbean.
- Casinos everywhere.

My friend and his wife spent a week in Aruba for their honeymoon. They both absolutely loved it.
