I'll be heading up to Minneapolis in a couple months for a quick 2 day trip.
Anything in particular I should see or do? Places to eat?

I used to live in Minneapolis and still visit frequently (heading back in two weeks), so I can provide some help. Otherwise, I am pretty sure SpartyGator lives there and will be in his Green & White on tonight. Honestly, MSP might be the most under-appreciated city in the country.
North Loop
Converted warehouse district that is close to Target Field. You can take the light-rail.
- Breweries: Modist, Inbound and Fulton
- Restaurants: Bar La Grassa, Black Sheep, Borough, Spoon & Stable, Bachelor Farmer, Red Cow (brunch), Freehouse (brunch), Monte Carlo, Smack Shack
- Cocktail Bars / Bars: The Loop, Basement, and Jager all sport a younger crowd. Otherwise, Parlour and Marvel make excellent cocktails.
Downtown
- Restaurants: Butcher & The Boar, Manny's and Zelo
- Bars: Cowboy Jack's and Pourhouse are younger crowds. The former has a rooftop and the latter has a massive interior with multiple bars. Ricky Rubio used to love Pourhouse when he was on the Timberwolves. 508 is a Wisconsin bar. Brothers is a fine sports bar, but nothing special - you see a number of them throughout B1G college towns. Kieran's is a great Irish pub and Sneaky Pete's a dirtyyyy.
- Cocktail Bars: Prohibition Bar
Downtown East
I would put this under Downtown, but East is where U.S. Bank is. It is accessible via light-rail or walking...
- Breweries: Town Hall and Day Block
- Bars: Maxwell's and Crooked Pint
Uptown
Contingent of young professionals close to Bde Maka Ska, which everyone still calls Lake Calhoun. You aren't far from Harriet and I would recommend walking around Lake of the Isles.
- Restaurants: Chino Latino, Barbette, Lake & Irving
- Bars: Stella's (rooftop), Libertine (rooftop), Williams (basement), Uptown Tavern (rooftop), LynLake (brewery)
Cocktail Bar: Volstead's
Whittier isn't Uptown, but it's close... Nightingale and TILT are good spots for drinks and fun.
Northeast
Across the Mississippi from North Loop. It is a hipster area with plenty to eat and drink.
- Breweries: Dangerous Man, Bauhaus, Indeed, Fair State, Broken Clock, and HeadFlyer. Not, technically, in Northeast (close enough) are Pyres and Boom Island.
- Bars: Don't know what weather will be like, and the drinks aren't great, but Psycho Suzi's has a massive patio on the river and can get very crowded on warm days. Otherwise, some other ideas: Dusty's, Knight Cap, Northeast Social, and Bunny's.
Dinkytown
Across the Mississippi from downtown and home to the University of Minnesota. Accessible via walking, Lyft/Uber or light-rail. Surly is right near Dinkytown and they have massive indoor and outdoor seating areas. Otherwise, some college bars for the younger crowd: Blarney and Sally's are popular.
Other
- Sculpture Garden then walk through Loring Park. Grab a cocktail at Bar Lurcat. If you'd prefer beer, Sisyphus and Lakes & Legends are breweries that are close by.
- Best ice cream in Minneapolis is Sebastian Joe's
- If you're looking for a Juicy Lucy, best two places for that are Matt's and 5-8 Club.
- There are quite a few strip clubs near North Loop.
- Walk across Stone Arch Bridge. Incredible view of Minneapolis
- Honestly, I don't know much about St. Paul, but I have done brewery hops a few times: Barrel Theory (favorite in TC), BlackStack, Bad Weather, Stacked Deck, 12welve Eyes, Bang, and Burning Brothers.

Not a problem! Someone will need to school you on St. Paul. Outside of the brewery scene, I am very much unfamiliar.
