I'd expect you to be fine tomorrow (looking at wind maps now). Late friday night/saturday morning/saturday afternoon is the iffy time period when the 75mph winds are expected to show up

You live in boston but didn't use jetblue for the nonstops this trip . Guessing they wanted a lot of $$$?

Last minute booking and JetBlue was like $400 more.

The more I look at the wind maps, the more worried I am for some of you trying for friday night and saturday. Right now it looks like 20mph winds start around 10am Friday, pick up to 30mph for all of Saturday, then settle back down to 15mph Sunday 5pm. This doesnt include wind gusts either.

The good news is MSY has a runway that runs East/West (11/29) so in an east wind you will be OK to land or take off as long as the gusts are below 30-35mph.

United airlines waiver has posted. For MS and LA airports so far, not Houston. Get rebooked now while you can!

I've got a 4:30 flight on from MSY to ATL on Delta tomorrow (Friday). Chances this flight departs? If you'd recommend changing, what would you do--fly earlier out of MSY on Friday or fly out of BTR on Friday?

From a jetblue friend regarding your flight going as normal tomorrow. "Probably yeah, the later day ones will probably get axed "

For today (Thursday), they have an operational advisory posted internally, meaning BOS, NYC are expecting storms to start around 5pm, May experience delays in the area.

Fly out earlier on friday if possible, winds estimated at 25mph in kenner 4pm friday. Would do MSY as the planes are larger and much longer runway to deal with the winds

Good deal. Worse case we get in the air tomorrow and then reroute us somewhere else I reckon

Thanks. Looks like Delta is offering the change waivers now so I'll see what I can manage.

But best case scenario you get to spend an extra day in the awesome city that is Boston.

Cuse I'm cancelling my flights this afternoon. Was coming in for my Godson's baptism but with this weather it looks like they're saying screw it and rescheduling anyway.

Flying DFW -> LCH at 9 PM tonight. This flight gets delayed/cancelled often anyway, but should I expect any weather related issues into LCH tonight?

American just gave me an earlier flight home today and I had the basic economy which I’m pretty sure doesn’t typically have free changes. I would give them a call.

Those late night dfw flights are usually cancelled from weather delays in dallas, not laffy. You should be fine tonight

I'm hoping for another situation where Delta sends a plane into the storm like they did for Irma to/from SJU....
