Just a quick thumbs-up to this program. I have been watching her travel show off and on for maybe two years.
The things I like are her USA trips look like my road-trips. A museum plus a great local pub, then a scenic boat trip and a trip to a lighthouse. Down-to-Earth, REALISTIC trips.
A lot of other travel shows go like this:
- welcome to NYC; watch me get dance lessons from The Rockettes!!
- next I get a private cooking lesson from the finest chef in all of Brazil
- finally at the Louvre, I am treated to the "special basement collection" that only three people per decade are allowed to view
That's all. Just a recommendation for Travels with Darley, in case y'all are not aware.

I love to watch travel shows but she is the worst travel show host I have ever seen. My wife and I will sit there and laugh at her she is so bad.

Pretty strong dislike!! What do y'all find so unappealing?
If I HAD to critique, I'd say that the production itself is pretty basic, and she seems a little goofy/dorky. In some ways, that appeals to me, though.
Like I said above, she hits some under-appreciated USA destinations, not just the standard (NYC, San Fran, New Orleans, DC & Las Vegas). Today was Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I recall seeing Arkansas/Alabama recently and North Dakota a while back.
And the suggestions are realistic for the average tourist on a budget. Anyway, to each their own.

And that's why I want to like it. But the actual content seems to be generic.

She has zero charm/personality and her delivery is so stilted and forced its like fingernails on a chalk board.

That's being generous. I've seen junior high kids at the local school produce better quality videos.
She just seems like some spoiled, rich girl who's mommy and daddy or husband (or wife, I don't know) bought her a show.

Yea, it may be a bit irrational and I don't know why.

I’d never heard of this show until this thread so I gave it a whirl tonight. Watched the Little Rock episode. I agree with both of you. I like the premise and the fact that it’s based on what anyone can do, But Darley does seem like a tard. She seemed awkward and the lines forced. I’m sure I’ll watch a couple more, but she could use some improvement.
