Your itinerary and travel history are exactly the same as hrryhll.
And hrryhll also refused to drive. I can't imagine seeing America without a road trip.
Vegas is an awesome place to start or finish a road trip. Last time I did that I walked the Strip for a few hours. I don't think those people belong to the same species as me, at least I hope not.
As far as my picks for cities to visit - I'd do Boston/NYC/Washington DC, then New Orleans, then San Diego, then San Francisco. Chicago and Seattle (in the summer) are very close contenders.

Definitely go to Vegas. Tons of fun.

I could not decide between the two so I am doing 2 nights in both Vegas and Seattle.
I usually like at least 3 nights in a city but I have no idea when I will back in that part of America.
Thanks for all the tips. I think my itenerary is now set.

Miami, check, do you have a day to go down to key West?
New Orleans - check
San Francisco -check
LA, only to exit the country,
Seattle is a great city.

New York is obviously a must
San Fransico minus to homeless
Boston for the history
Nashville just for the difference and music
Then you have Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas, St. Louis, San Diego, New Orleans, Orlando.....
Hell they all have pro's and negatives so I don't think I can make just a list of 5

Don't come to Dallas. Nothing to see besides bars, restaurants, and apartment buildings.
