Thinking about going up there in April. Just came back from Colorado and I loved it, and I've been told that Wyoming is even better. I looked up some hikes, to Jenny Lake and to Delta Lake, and they look incredible. Anything else to do up there? I'm not interested in skiing, and I want to make sure it's worth making the trip.

Jenny Lake

Delta Lake

Been there several times, not recently. It's become popular with the 1% so it's gotten expensive and they're developing the frick out of it. Fortunately most of it is national park so there are limits to how much they can ruin. I'm glad I got to go before it turned into another Aspen

There’s a cool antler arch on each corner of this park in the city center. Other than that I just did white water and passed through to Yellowstone.

I spent ten straight summers there at one point. It’s one of the most beautiful places in the US.

Look, I love Colorado..went to CU and I’m there climbing a few times a year but Jackson..it’s heaven.

Rafting or easy strolls on the Snake River, good shopping, great food, great hikes..

What all do you like to do?

Don’t know about the state of Wyoming being better than Colorado but you can’t really go wrong with Jackson Hole

Brother, it’s far from Aspen. I was in Aspen two weeks ago. It’s hell on earth. Jackson is still quite redeeming.

Went to Colorado and then over to Jackson Hole Wyoming last September. Let’s just say that I can’t wait to visit the area again. I can see why people fall in love with it and move there. Most everywhere else I’ve visited on the planet animals are visitors in the human realm. In that area humans are visitors in the animal’s realm. Check out Spring Creek Ranch Resort for the most fantastic view of the Tetons.

It's awesome. Jackson is not really that large in itself but has everything you could want. We rented a condo at Snow King that was first class. However, it is the access to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone that make it special.

it is awesome. Close enough tto make a loop through Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Have some drinks at The Mural Room at Grand Teton Lodge for an namazing panorama.

Maybe so, but when I'm in that part of the world I head to the Wind Rivers now.

I don't think it's going to look like that in April.

I can totally get behind that. Green River Lakes, Bonneville Basin...Did Gannett Peak a few years ago.

Geezus, sign me up. I’ve gotta get back to Wyoming.

Absolutely beautiful area and absolutely EVERYTHING there is overpriced. Bring your credit card with a high limit and hopefully one that earns points or money back.

Not sure the roads to these trail heads will be accessible and if so I’d assume a lot of snowpack.

April not the the best time to go to Jackson. Mud season.

Hiking and April don't go together in Jackson Hole. Heck you may not be able to hike Jenny Lake up to the water fall until June some years.

This is true. My blind arse didn’t see April. May as well forget the scenic river floats, too.

I went in January 1996..There was record snowfall..There was so much that Yellowstone closed down for a couple of days. Airlines lost our luggage. GF was acting like a girly girl whining and complaining about the luggage. Other than all that it was a beautiful place.

One of the most extreme airports in the world. Loved it though.
