Tel Aviv / Herzliya This Summer

Has anyone been to Tel Aviv or Herzliya lately. I’ll be spending some time this summer in an executive program at IDC Herzliya. I’ve never been to Israel and my only experience in the region is a 9 month tour in Afghanistan.
1. What cell phone service is recommended for the area? I currently have AT&T.
2. Street food spots I have to try? Street food I have to try?
3. Top 3 must see places in the area if you never go back? (Don’t like Moslems so prefer to stay out of the West Bank and Gaza.)

I haven’t been before, but I was about to start the same thread. I would like to go over to that area at some point in the future.

You might want to go before Iran develops a nuclear weapon.

Lol Mossad will never allow that to happen.

No problems in west bank very nice people
Here is a recent write up I did on Tel Aviv
Tel Aviv which is Israel’s second most populous city , behind Jerusalem , and the country’s cultural and commercial capital. Silicon Wadi is another name for Tel Aviv’s Tech industry, in comparison to Silicon Valley in California. Tel Aviv is a trendy , savvy and culturally aspousing city. Bordered on one side by the Mediterranean Sea and long stretches of white sandy beaches that rival that of Miami’s. The other side has imposing glass high rises housing technology companies in what is considered to be the world’s second most important hi-tech area, Tel Aviv has it all.
Prominent museums, restored trendy neighborhoods such as the ancient Port of Jaffa, oldest port in the world , Neve Tzedek and the UNESCO White City of Bauhaus style buildings. There are plenty outdoor markets such as the Carmel market and a young and diverse liberal population, which make Tel Aviv a city that evokes attention on the national scale. It offers a little something for everyone.

Tel Aviv is legit. Food is amazing, bars, food, and if it’s of interest the women are beautiful.

You’re not going to Jerusalem?

I am currently on a drill ship in the Med. I flew into Tel Aviv from JFG. Was only in Tel Aviv a hour or so, took a taxi to Haifa. Stayed the night in a beautiful hotel and the next morning flew out to the rig.
I go home a few days and hopefully will get to check out Tel Aviv alittle more.

I’m going to be there for about 40 days so I’m not sure the $10 a day plan is the best option. Is it like Europe where SIM cards / burner phones are readily accessible?
