Okay so I've never been to Nashville before, and a few buddies and I are spending the day and night there next Thursday and Friday (November 16-17), then leaving Saturday to go see the LSU/Tennessee game in Knoxville. Just wanted to ask you guys on here that have been to Nashville before, what are some of the best things to see and do? Any can't miss things? Any bars or restaurants that I have to check out? Any good areas I need to go see? Any suggestions that you guys can come up with will be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to this long weekend getaway. Thanks guys.

I was only there for a couple days, but we stayed near five points in East Nashville.

Over in that area Edley's BBQ was awesome and Butcher and Bee was a cool little brunch spot.

Downtown we had a great time at Acme it's a multi-story bar right by the river. You can just walk down Broadway and bar hop.

Just walking around Vandy's campus was cool too. They have a full-scale replica of the Parthenon right off campus which was pretty sweet. I didn't go inside but we chilled in the little grassy area in front for a while.

Hattie Bs hot chicken is supposed to be the best hot chicken but we didn't get any cause the line was ridiculous and we were running a little late.

Incorrect, and its not even close. Tourist trap.

Pepperfire. Bolton's, 400 Degrees, and Party Foul are all easily better.

Plan to bar hop on Broadway, get some hot chicken but be prepared for 60 minute plus waits at lunch.

People watch the odd mix of millenials and country folk, the alternative scene in Nashville has gotten very weird the last couple of years.

Maybe catch a predators game? Check the schedule if they are in town or anything else at the convention center/ arena downtown is on Broadway so that can affect parking and how busy it is.

Five points/East Nashville area: Urban Cowboy Public House, Bar 308, Rosemary and the beauty queen, 3 crow, Duke’s, Dino’s

Dinner: Rolf and Daughters is the best in the city and in the same neighborhood (Germantown) you have Henrietta Red and City House. Butchertown Hall is just okay and 312 pizza is so so. Pastaria just opened in west and it’s really delicious. Nicky’s is also great.

Midtown has a ton of bars and it’s mostly “bro” vandy/Belmont...22-25 year old bars. The Patterson house is the only nice bar down that way and I highly recommend it.

Attaboy opened in east near McFerrin believe...it’s a high end cocktail lounge. It’s also close to Crying Wolf and Basement East, Edgefield sports bar.

Prettt underwhelming to me. I like fried chicken, but adding some spice to it wasn’t anything special. Especially considering those lines.
