There's a pinball arcade and indoor rock climbing that the kids may like. Both are downtown. Of course, there is hiking. Racoon Mountain mountain has a scenic overlook and also a cavern where you can pan for gems. Haven't personally done that but the kids might enjoy.

Food:
Easy Bistro
Flying Squirrel
State of Confusion
Public House
Slicks Burgers

You have Rock City and the Incline RR. Your kids may be old enough that they would consider these corny. No specific food recs, but pre-Covid at least there was a pretty active dining scene downtown.

Hiking down into Foster Falls is a great little trip.

It’s an incredible rock climbing spot. Keep on the trail after the bridge and check out the crags.

Really? Every time I have been there, it’s been mediocre to garbage.

We are 6 miles south of the mountain rock city is on. Looking for some stuff to do today. I’ve been told the aquarium is mediocre.

It’s pretty decent, it’s better than Atlanta’s, but maybe on par or a little below New Orleans. It’s been awhile since I been to New Orleans’ aquarium though, it use to be nice.

Nah, it's pretty good. Particularly with kids. You can make a day of it walking around the area after you visit. Maybe even take the Pedestrian Bridge over to North Shore if you're up for some walking.

Cloudland Canyon State Park is about 30 minutes from where you’re staying if you’re south of Chattanooga. We just got back from there Wednesday. Some great hikes and views if that would interest your kids.

They leave the stems on their fried okra. That was enough for me to never go back.
